This project posed the challenge of converting an old concierge’s flat, divided up into separate areas, and with a large portion used for passageways, located in on the ground floor of a building in Barcelona’s Sant Gervasi neighbourhood.
In order to transform it into a pleasant workspace, intended to house the studio for industrial designer Joan Gaspar, we removed partition walls and false ceilings, thus creating a space that was light and airy.
As a sign of respect towards the place’s memory, it was decided to leave the traces of what was taken down on the floor and walls.
