
An action proposed by the architect and designer Stefano Colli and the photographer Leo García Méndez for the Il Giardinetto restaurant in Barcelona from February 15 to March 15, 2023.
The showcase, a photographic intervention and a special three-course menu that will be available at Il Giardinetto menu for a month, made with Parmigiano Reggiano delle Vacche Rosse and Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale, both very characteristic products of the Italian city of Reggio Emilia , the birthplace of Stefano Colli and one of the excellence places of Italian gastronomy. DA NOI is a proposal at Il Giardinetto to connect with the Italian city of Reggio Emilia, through the photographic work of Leo García Méndez and a special menu of three very simple dishes based on Parmigiano Reggiano and Balsamico Tradizionale. Stefano and Leo think that eating together and tasting local products is the best way to travel and get to know a place. Curiosity is perhaps the most important attitude when traveling.
“For a few years we have shared important, memorable moments. Thanks to food, photography, travel, movies, art, design and architecture, among other things, a great friendship has been born that we care for with care.” Stefano points out.
Photography, moreover, is for both of them much more than a tool to document projects: it is part of the project itself. That’s how they understand it and that’s how they like to work together. For Il Giardinetto they have wanted to transmit all this: a trip, a place, some products and some special moments. They wanted to share an experience thanks to the gastronomy and the images of the place.
